  Yeah Nietzsche is a tough old boy to read. I recommend reading SparkNotes along with Thus Spake Zarathustra, it will help, even if just a little. I've only read Zarathustra, so I'm probably not the greatest expert on him, but I did find that particular book interesesting. Maybe not entirely inspiring, but interesting. I read that when I was mentally exiting the JW cult, so I was impressed with how much you can expand your mind with such philosophies, once you pull your head out of the Watchtower's collective arse.

  "Emergency KM School?"

  post.. talking to an elder yesterday, he stated he was going to km school next week and that it was an "emergency" km school being held all over the country and that all the circuits had to purchase projectors for the school.....but he couldn't say anything else (secret society bs)little does he know the details can be found here on jwn.. any undercover elders know what this is about?.

  i was wondering if any former bethelites could clue me in to how the illustrations get planned/decided upon that wind up in the watchtower publications?

  does the writing department formally ask for a specific illustration to go with their dumb article or do the artists just smoke some ganja and come up with their own zany stuff?.

  also, to any active bethelites monitoring this site, i would like to submit a recommendation.

  I was at bethel when Fellowship of the Ring came out. Me and a bunch of guys from my work crew went on opening night. Interestingly, on the way back one of the guys said, "I feel like I need to read my bible now...I feel the demons."

  hahaha Goodness, we were so lame. it's a wonder any of us male JW dorks got laid.

  Yet, when the Branch wants your skills, spirituality doesn't matter.

  CA, I never went to Bethel, but I was involved with the RBCs. This is so damn true. If there was some JW who was barely active but had some specialized engineering or construction skill they needed, or maybe he had some connection to some hard to get equipment or whatever, suddenly he met "spiritual" qualifications and was treated like a captain of the high school football team.

  When I was at Bethel I was counseled for owning a LOTR movie.

  I know of at least 3 JWs dooshes who, each one upon being asked by me if they liked LOTR, exclaimed, "What?! I don't watch those! I don't want demons in my house!!"

  Thanks, CA. That sorta makes sense now.

  He makes an interesting admission that the "Questions from Readers" do not come from outside readers. He says that the GB are also readers of the WT and Awake and so it is THEY that submit the "Questions".

  hahaha, what???? That is HIGH-larious.
